Your CTO partner for growth, profitability, and simpler systems

I help founders and leadership teams grow sustainably, improve margins, and reduce unnecessary technical complexity — then execute with senior-level support when needed.

Intro / Who I am

I’m Jacek Francuz, founder of Milestones IT.

For over 15 years, I’ve been working with companies internationally — helping them grow without inflating costs, simplify systems instead of layering new tools, and make technical decisions that still make sense years later.

My role is flexible by design:

CTO partner and advisor when clarity is needed

hands-on technical leadership when execution matters

a blend of both when outcomes depend on alignment

What matters most is not the role title — but the result.

How I define success

Success is never abstract or generic.
It’s defined together with the client — based on what actually moves their business forward.

Sustainable Growth

Growth matters only if systems can support it. I help clients scale without constantly rebuilding foundations, replacing tools, or firefighting architectural decisions made too early or too fast.

The goal is progress that compounds — not growth that creates hidden debt.

Healthier Margins

Many technical decisions quietly erode margins over time. I focus on identifying where tooling, infrastructure, or process complexity inflates costs without delivering proportional value.

Often, improving profitability isn’t about doing more — it’s about doing less, better.

Lower Costs

Complexity is expensive — in money, time, and attention. I help reduce it by simplifying architectures, replacing overengineered setups, and removing tools that no longer justify their cost.

In one long-term engagement, this approach led to replacing a SaaS-heavy setup with a purpose-built solution, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars over several years — without sacrificing functionality.

Experience at a glance

Since founding Milestones IT in 2009, I’ve worked with 70+ companies across the globe.

Across these engagements, my work most often focuses on:

identifying where complexity is slowing growth

uncovering hidden or compounding costs

designing systems that scale without inflating overhead

aligning technical decisions with real business priorities

Many clients stay for years — not because of a specific technology stack, but because they value calm judgement when trade-offs are unavoidable.

How I work

I approach technology as a business system, not just a technical one.

Strategic Thinking

Every decision has consequences for:

cost structure

team efficiency

speed of change

long-term scalability

Right Questions

My work typically starts by answering a few fundamental questions:

Where is complexity creating friction or cost?

What actually drives growth here — and what doesn’t?

Which investments improve margins, and which quietly erode them?

Targetted Focus

From there, we focus on:

simplifying what doesn’t need to be complex

investing only where it creates measurable value

building systems that support growth without locking the business in

When execution is required, I work with a small, trusted network of senior specialists — keeping delivery lean, focused, and aligned with outcomes rather than headcount.

This combination allows me to work comfortably across architecture, delivery, and business decision-making — especially where growth, margins, and costs intersect.

Personal side

Outside of work, I stay active through strength training, Freeletics, judo, ice skating, and winter sports. These disciplines help me maintain focus, resilience, and clarity under pressure.

I value time with my family, reading, and being outdoors. That balance is essential — not only personally, but professionally — when guiding others through complex or high-stakes decisions.

I have spent years exploring psychology and self-development. That inner work has deepened my self-awareness, strengthened my resilience, and shaped how I support others in demanding situations.

Travel has also been an important part of my professional life. I have visited more than 30 countries, and working with clients across different cultures continually reinforces how trust, clarity, and simplicity underpin long-term success.
